Finding your perfect break

We’re a large farmhouse with an attached barn, located in the middle of Hackthorpe village. Look out for the sign that says “Pheasant Bush.”

We’re directly opposite Town End Farm and a few houses north of the pub.

Coming from the south on the M6 come off at Shap (J39).
From the north on the M6 come off at Penrith (J40).
From the A66 East take the Bolton / Cliburn turn. From the west, take the A6 south turn at Penrith. 

We have plenty of parking. On the paved area right outside, please leave room for others. We can fit 4 or 5 vehicles here comfortably.
Further up the drive, you can park outside the barn, or on the slate area half way up the drive.

if you’re bringing more than one car, please let us know in advance. 

The Byre and Downhouse have a key box next to the door. The Barn is accessed by a keypad.  The codes will be sent to you a few days prior to your arrival. 

Check-in is from 4pm and check out by 10pm. We may be able to provide early check in and late check out, subject to availability and a nominal charge to cover expenses (electricity costs, heating costs, housekeeping, etc) - around £10 per hour. Please ask beforehand to confirm availability of early check in and late check out.
